Client-side data encryption and at Rest

German data centers and multi-layer encryption – our security commitment

Noggle’s client-side encryption is the most secure method, because it encrypts your data prior to leaving your client for transit. Individual access to our storage is secured using role-based access control. Noggle only uses HTTPS for data in trasit and adds automatic server-side encryption for data at rest. Data in the Noggle network and required supporting systems reside in German data centers.

Strict access and data protection – controlled by German data trustee

An independent German data trustee controls access to all data in the Germany datacenters and the systems and infrastructure that hold our Noggle data. The data trustee controls physical and logical access to users data under German law. Our Noggle cloud is an isolated Azure instance hosted by Microsoft in Germany, independent from public clouds. Even Microsoft as our infrastructure partner does not have access to stored data or the datacenters without approval from and supervision by the German data trustee or Noggle. Our setup is designed to meet the strictest EU data protection requirements and international certifications.

With our infrastructure partner, Azure Germany, we can store and manage data in compliance with applicable German laws and EU/EFTA regulations, as well as key international standards.
